Optik koherens tomografi ile 13 yıl takip edilen Bietti kristalin distrofi olgusunda unilateral asemptomatik tam kat makula deliği

2008 yılında ilerleyici görme kaybı nedeniyle yapılan muayene ile Bietti kristalin distrofisi tanısı alan 39 yaş kadın hasta, 2021 yılına kadar optik koherens tomografi ile takip edildi. Son rutin göz muayenesinde, herhangi bir semptom tanımlamayan hastada; sol gözde intakt foveola ile birlikte hafif ekstantrik yerleşimli tam kat makula deliği olduğu görüldü. Cerrahi tedavi önerilmedi. Tam kat makula deliğinin patogenezi belirsiz olmakla beraber önceki muayenelerinde hafif bir makula ödemi ve vitreoretinal yüzey değişikliği mevcuttu. Bununla beraber dejeneratif bir sürecin de rol oynaması mümkündür.

A 39-year-old woman with a progressive bilateral visual decline was diagnosed to have Bietti crystalline dystrophy in 2008. The disease course has been monitored with the optical coherence tomography till 2021. During the last routine eye examination in 2021, a full-thickness slightly eccentric visually asymptomatic macular hole with an intact foveola was noted in the left eye. No surgical treatment was recommended. The pathogenesis of full-thickness macular hole remained unclear as there were only subtle signs of prior very mild macular edema and vitreomacular interface abnormality. Moreover, a degenerative process was also possible.
