To purpose of our study is to describe the ultrosonographic findings, postnatal results and operation necessities for the fetuses with prenataly determined ovarian cyst.
Between the years of 2002-2003, three cases with suspected ovarial cyst determined by prenatal ultrosonograpy were followed up and reevaluated during postnatal period. All three cases are diagnosed in third trimester. Diameters of ovarian cysts for two cases and the other one are 5 cm and 2 cm, respectivelly. Cases with 5 cm cyst diameter are undergone operation during postnatal period. Whereas cyst with 2 cm diameter is regressed during postnatal follow up.
Fetuses with suspected ovarian cyst during perinatal period should be monitorised by serial ultrosonographic examinations. As some ovarian cyst show regression in their size, some others remain stable and they have to be reevaluated and confirmed by postnatal ultrosonography and operation should be considered with these findings.
