Otologue Breast Reconstructions and Nursing Care

Breast cancer is one of the cancer types mostly seen among women. Mastectomy is one of the treatment methods of breast cancer which alter women’s body image. Losing the breast partially or in total is an important procedure for women. Thus makes breast reconstruction procedure essential. Breast reconstruction is the process of regenerating the breast tissue and it can be done by using various methods. The most commonly used reconstruction methods are the ones done with the patient's own tissue. In this article reconstruction with latissimus dorsi and transverse rectus abdominus muscle skin flaps, nursing care of the patient after reconstruction will be discussed.

Meme kanseri kadınlarda görülen kanser sıralamasında birinci sırada yer alan bir kanserdir. Meme kanserinin tedavi yöntemlerinden biri olan mastektomi, kadınların beden imajının bozulmasına neden olan girişimlerden bir tanesidir. Meme dokucusunun kadınlar için önemi nedeni ile meme rekonstrüksiyonu son derece önem taşıyan bir konudur. Meme rekontrüksiyonu meme dokusunu tekrar oluşturma işlemidir. En sık kullanılan rekonstrüksiyon yöntemlerinden biri de hastanın kendi dokusuyla oluşturulan rekonstrüksiyonlardır. Bu derlemede mastektomi sonrası meme rekontrüksiyonu ile ilgili tekniklerden latissimus dorsi ve transvers rektus abdominis kas deri flepleri ile meme rekonstrüksiyonuna ve rekonstrüksiyon sonrası bakımda hemşirenin dikkat etmesi gereken konulara değinilmektedir.
