Comparative Anatomical Studies on Three Endemic Ononis L. (Leguminosae) Species Growing in Turkey

The leaf and stem anatomical characteristics of three endemic Ononis L. (Leguminosae) species (O. sessilifolia Bornm., O. basiadnata Hub.-Mor. and O. macrosperma Hub.-Mor.) native to Turkey were examined to determine the relevance of these properties in the establishment of similarities and differences in these taxa. In this anatomical study, illustrations and photographs were obtained of the microscopic views of transversal and superficial sections from the leaves and transversal sections from stems of the species. Anatomical characters of Ononis species such as mesophyll structure in leaves, vascular bundles in leaves and stems and trichome properties and contributions to taxonomy of the anatomical features was highlighted.

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de doğal olarak yetişen üç endemik Ononis L. (Leguminosae) türünün (O. sessilifolia Bornm., O. basiadnata Hub.&Mor. ve O. macrosperma Hub.&Mor.) yaprak ve gövde anatomik özellikleri bu taksonlar arasındaki benzerlik ve farklılıkları temel alınarak bu özelliklerin ilişkisi tanımlanarak araştırılmıştır. Bu anatomik çalışmada, türlerin yapraklarından alınan enine ve yüzeyel kesitlerle ve gövdelerinden enine kesitlerle çizimler ve fotoğraflar elde edildi. Ononis türlerinin anatomik karakterleri örneğin yapraklar ve gövdelerdeki iletim demetleri, yapraklardaki mezofil yapısı, tüy özellikleri ve bu anatomik özelliklerin taksonomiye katkıları vurgulanmıştır.
