ABSTRACT Objective To review the current literature related to the correlation between translaminar pressure difference (TLPD) and glaucoma. Materials and Methods In this article, we conducted the literature review, using MEDLINE through Pubmed, Cochrane Vision Eyes and Visions and Google Scholar from 01/01/2010 to 31/12/2022. Search term included “glaucoma”, “intraocular pressure”, “translaminar cribrosa pressure gradient/difference”, “intracranial pressure”, “cerebrospinal fluid pressure”. Eight articles were selected from 471 results for meta-analysis. Results Our meta-analysis found significant higher IOP, lower CSFp and higher TLPD in high tension and normal tension glaucoma groups compared to healthy groups. Conclusions The CSFp and TLPD differences between glaucoma and healthy people demonstrated the potential relationship between TLPD and glaucoma showned by current studies. Key words: glaucoma, intraocular pressure, translaminar cibrosa pressure gradient/difference, cerebrospinal fluid pressure, intracranial pressure Keywords: glaucoma, intraocular pressure, translaminar cibrosa pressure gradient/difference, cerebrospinal fluid pressure, intracranial pressure
