Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura as Initial Manifestation of Systemic Lupus Erythematosus: A case report

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease that can affect almost any organ system. Its presentation and course are highly variable, ranging from indolent to fulminant. The classic presentation of a triad of fever, joint pain, and rash in a woman of childbearing age should prompt investigation into the diagnosis of SLE. However, patients may present with any of the rare types of manifestations such as idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura.

Sistemik Lupus Eritematozus hemen hemen bütün organları etkileyebilen kronik otoimmun bir hastalıktır. Hastalık çok farklı kliniklerle prezente olabilir. Klasik olarak başlangıç doğurganlık çağındaki kadınlarda ateş, artrit, malar raş triatı şeklindedir. Ancak nadir olarak idiyopatik trombositopenik purpura gibi farklı kliniklerle prezantasyon görülebilir.
