Çocuğunun Kardiyopulmoner Resüsitasyonuna Aile Üyelerinin Tanikliği: Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Düşünceleri

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu tanımlayıcı çalışma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin çocuğunun kardiyopulmoner resüsitasyonuna aile üyelerinin tanıklığı hakkındaki düşüncelerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Araştırmanın evrenini; 2017–2018 öğretim yılında bir Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören 487 öğrenci oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri, öğrencilerin çocuğunun resüsitasyonuna aile üyelerinin tanıklığı hakkındaki düşüncelerini belirlemek amacıyla geliştirilen “Anket Formu” ile toplandı. Verilerin analizinde tanımlayıcı istatistikler ve ki-kare testi kullanıldı
BULGULAR: Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 19,84±1,85, %87,7’si kız, %40,9’u birinci sınıfta idi. Öğrencilerin %15’i daha önce resüsitasyon işlemine katılmış, %18,9’u ise resüsitasyon işlemini sadece izlemişti. Öğrencilerin %86,9’unun resüsitasyona ailenin tanıklığı ile ilgili bilgisi yoktu, %61,4’ü işlem sırasında ailenin bulunmaması gerektiğini, %55,6’sı işlem sırasında ailenin bulunmasının sıkıntı yaratacağını belirtti. Öğrencilerin %91,4’ü duygusal tepki verme riskinden dolayı işlem sırasında ailenin bulunmaması gerektiğini, %63,7’si ise kendi aile bireylerinden biri resüsite ediliyorsa yanında olmak istediğini ifade etti. Daha önce resüsistasyon işlemine katılan öğrenciler ve kız öğrenciler, ailelerin işleme tanıklık etmesini istemiyordu (p<0,05). Birinci sınıf öğrencileri, çocuğunun resüsitasyon işlemi sırasında ailesinin bulunmasını daha fazla istedi (p=0,002).
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Öğrencilerin sınıfı, cinsiyeti, resüsitasyonu bilme durumları ve resüsitasyon işlemine daha önce katılma durumları, aile üyelerinin çocuklarının resüsitasyonuna tanıklıkları hakkındaki görüşlerini etkiledi.

INTRODUCTION: This descriptive study was conducted to determine the opinions of nursing students about the family member presence during paediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
METHODS: This study was conducted with 487 students who are studying in the nursing department of the Faculty of Health Sciences, in 2017-2018 academic year. Data were collected using "Questionnaire Form" which was developed to determine students opinions about family presence during paediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Data was analyzed by using the descriptive statistics and chi-square test.
RESULTS: The average age of students was 19.84±1.85, 87.7% of them girls 40.9% were first grade students. 15% of the students previously joined resuscitation process, 18.9% of them only observed this process. 86,9% of the students didn't have information regarding the family the witness of resuscitation, 61.4% of them stated that family should not join this process, 55.6% of them said that the family presence would be a problem during the resuscitation. 91.4% of the students stated that family should not join the process because of presenting emotional reactions, 63.7% of the students state that if their relative are resuscitated, they will want to join the resuscitation. Students who are girl and who are previously join resuscitation process didn't want to family presence in the process (p<0.05). Students who were first class wanted more family presence during resuscitation more (p=0.002).
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: The students' grade, gender, resuscitation knowledge and previous involvement in the resuscitation process have affected their views about their children's witnessing their resuscitation.
